How is this different from coffee?
The main stimulant in cacao is theobromine, not caffeine. It provides 4–6× longer energy without the blood pressure spike, jitters, or crash — and it's not addictive. The DSM-5 doesn't classify it as such.
What is theobromine?
A xanthine alkaloid — same family as caffeine, structurally different. It's a vasodilator: it opens blood vessels rather than narrowing them. Sustained energy, no cortisol spike, no withdrawal.
What is cacao and how is it different from cocoa?
Cacao is the raw, minimally processed seed of the Theobroma cacao tree. Cocoa has been roasted and heavily processed — stripping most flavanols. Our products are single-origin, minimally processed cacao, not powder.
How much caffeine does it have?
Trace amounts — 10–20mg per serving versus 95–200mg in coffee. The primary stimulant is theobromine (250–400mg), which behaves very differently and won't disrupt sleep.
Is it vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free?
Yes to all three. 100% single-origin cacao, nothing added. No sugar, no dairy, no gluten. Certified vegan.
How do I prepare it?
2 tablespoons (15g) in 200ml hot water or milk. Stir or froth. Drink black or with plant milk. Ecuador is the most beginner-friendly — naturally sweet and floral with no bitterness.
